Every year, as part of your membership, the Portland Modern Quilt Guild hosts a Block-Of-The-Month (BOM) program.

Sign-Ups for this years BOM can be found in the Members Only section.

The PMQG block of the month for 2022, titled “Mod Circle Gets A Square”, is a series of block patterns designed to encourage skill-building and creative innovation as each quilter builds their own unique modern quilt. There are 9 original block patterns that have come from a collaborative group project of 12 designers from our guild this year. This is not a sampler quilt where you make one block each month, this is a choose your own adventure quilt where you make the block to see if you like it, then if you do make a few more and explore different layout options as you go. We recommend pulling at least 5 yards of assorted fabric from your stash in a color palette and use this fabric pull to make your blocks as we go. Each block offers new layout options, the challenge is to create your own take on this series.

Patterns and resources are available to PMQG members for only $45 per year, included in the yearly membership. We kindly ask that you encourage your non-member friends to join our guild instead of sharing this patterns.
