2024 PMQG Sisters Exhibit - Let’s Grow SOME quilts!

Exciting news! The Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show™ (SOQS), renowned as the world's largest outdoor quilt show and quilt sale, has once again invited us to be part of their prestigious event. This year, the PMQG Special Exhibit aims to showcase the talents of our members with a theme that's close to nature – "Houseplants: Growing and Going."
Here are the key details:
SOQS Special Exhibit Details:
Date: Second Saturday in July (as always)
Location: Sisters, Oregon
Number of Quilts in PMQG Special Exhibit: 20
Submission Process:
If we receive more than 20 submissions, we will conduct a jury vote. The quilts with the highest percentage of votes will be selected for the exhibit.
In the event a quilt is not selected for the group exhibit, individual members can still submit their quilts directly to SOQS as PMQG members.
Theme: Houseplants - Growing and Going:
Get creative with your interpretation of the theme! We're looking for quilts that capture the essence of houseplants and the idea that plants want to keep growing and keep going.
This is a fantastic opportunity to have your work featured at an international level and share our guild's creativity with a global audience. Your participation is key to making our exhibit a success.
Please submit your quilts by March 1st. Further details on the submission process will be shared soon via email and on the members-only page.

Information for submissions:
We are thrilled to announce that our quilt guild has been accepted to showcase our talents at the prestigious Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show 2024! Being recognized as part of the world's largest outdoor quilt show is truly an honor for us.
As part of our guild's special exhibit, we are inviting submissions for plant-themed quilts. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our creativity and contribute to the diverse array of quilts at the show.
Here are some key details:
Special Exhibit Theme: Plant-Themed Quilts
Submission Deadline to PMQG: March 1st, 2024
Maximum Quilts: 20 (If more submissions are received, quilts will be blind juried by three members of the current board.)
Quilt Size:
Width: 24” to 96”
Length: 36” to 96”
Minimum Perimeter: 160”
Examples: 40”x40”, 24” x 56”, 42” x 38”
Quilts must be three layers and quilted (not tied) to qualify for entry.
Quilts must be rectangular or square.
Once your quilt is accepted, please follow these steps:
Sign in to the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show website.
Upload a photo of your quilt top along with its dimensions. Note that the quilt does not need to be finished (quilted) at this stage.
Each member is responsible for registering their quilts on the SOQS website by the March 29th deadline and selecting the appropriate special exhibit category.
Label: Each quilter must include a fabric label sewn to the back of each quilt. It must include the quilt name and the name of the exhibitor that matches the database registrant.

Timeline for Sisters:
January 19, 2024: General Submissions for Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show open.
March 1, 2024: Deadline for all submissions for PMQG Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show special exhibit. (can be just a top/flimsy)
March 29, 2024: Deadline for all PMQG selected submissions to self-register their quilts for the special exhibit. (can be just a top/flimsy). *note there is no individual fee to submit a quilt for the guild’s special exhibit, the group fee is paid by the guild.
June 2, 2023: Deadline for photos of the finished/completed quilt
June 20, 2024: Quilt delivery deadline to volunteer at in-person guild meeting
July 13, 2024: Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show event! Join us in this fun day of sunshine and quilts!
Volunteers
We will need volunteers to help us with the following:
Providing our own step ladders and hanging team to both put up and take down quilts in our usual exhibit area
A minimum of 4-8 volunteers to host our “Quilt Zone” on Quilt Show Day. Spending the day at our exhibit, greeting visitors and answering questions about our quilts (must provide own chairs)
Setup is at 7:00 am, take down is at 4:00 pm
