Join Bianca as we embark on a creative journey where the timeless art of hand embroidery meets the eclectic charm of scrappy patchwork. In this workshop, you’ll learn a variety of hand embroidery stitches to add texture and depth to your patchwork. Using these skills and optional purchased stencils, you’ll have the opportunity to upcycle a ready-to-wear garment. Explore a variety of fabrics, threads, and embellishments that will transform simple scraps into stunning patchwork. This class is open to enthusiasts of all levels who wish to explore the intricate beauty of embroidery and create unique, personalized works of art. You’ll also discover new ways to repurpose orphan blocks and treasured fabric scraps, breathing new life into existing garments. Techniques covered will include raw-edge applique, reverse applique, crazy quilting, and traditional embroidery—all stitched together in a creative environment.
