July Meeting Reminder

Where: St Andrew Catholic Church, 806 NE Alberta St., Portland, OR 97211
The meeting will be in the community center, which is behind the main church building. There are two parking lots.
July Fat Quarter Lotto:
We're skipping the FQ Lotto this month because so much is going on! It will be back in August!
July Presentation:
This month instead of a formal presentation we're having a fun sale mixer to benefit charity (and a potluck!)! Members are encouraged to bring good-quality fabric, notions, tools, and patterns they're not using to donate to our sale. Please visit the Fundraiser page to see how to price and label your items ahead of time! We still need volunteers to help run the sale! There is a form if you are able to volunteer.
Don't forget to bring cash or check to buy items! We will not be taking cards for this event.
Charities benefiting from our sale:
Human Solutions: Help for low-income and homeless families in Oregon
Community Warehouse: A non-profit furniture bank in Portland and Tualatin that collects home goods and redistributes them to those who need them most.
SCRAP PDX: Craft supply donations support the environment, and access to education and creative materials

If your last name ends in A-L, please bring a savory item
If your last name ends in M-Z, please bring a sweet item
Don't forget to bring your own mug/cup for tea!

Open Sew Day--Saturday, August 3rd, 9:30 am-530 pm at Mill End Store, 4955 SW Western Ave., Beaverton (park around the side closest to Uwajimaya and knock on the keypad door if it's not propped open so you don't have to carry your supplies all through the store!)
New Member Mixer--The July New Member Mixer has been postponed to August due to events in downtown Hillsboro on the original date. We'll send out info as soon as we have the event reschedueld! This event will be at The Cotton Cure and will require signing up ahead of time!
2019 Fall Retreat--We still have a couple of spots left for this rustic, simple retreat! October 25-27th in Corbett, Oregon.

Cleanup After Meetings:
Thank you to everyone who helps set up for meeting, we really appreciate it! We are in need of more help after meetings though. If you’re physically able, please put away your own chair, and grab an extra one too if you can! Besides chairs we need assistance putting away tables, equipment, and the stage after meetings too.
Guests
Guests and non-members are welcome at guild meetings. Guests are free for the first visit; $5 for each visit after that. Please remember that to keep the guild running we need your support! If you've ever attended a meeting before, please be sure to pay the $5 guest fee or sign up for a membership at your next meeting!
