What a beautiful evening for our second annual PMQG Showcase at Lagunitas! We showed 44 Allison Glass Kaleidoscope Minis  and 20 member quilts. It was a stunning display that highlighted the diversity and creativity of our talented members. A big thank you to Susan Beal (Programs Coordinator) for going above and beyond to organize a successful Showcase event. We couldn’t have done this without her! We also would like to thank PMQG member Chelsea Clarke-Pitt for organizing the food, Zupan’s Market for donating the food, Judy Livingston (VP Membership and Procurement), Erin Case (VP Social Media & Technology), our 2018 officers and volunteers for working extra hard this month and at the event. We are thrilled to be able to partner with Lagunitas again this year. Thanks to 2017 co-organizer Maria Cardenas for stepping up to chair the Showcase again in 2019!!


What goes perfectly with plaid? Argyle! Michelle Freedman presented the Argyle Block, the 8th in the #bespokeBOM series. This block is 12" finished or put four together for a 24" square section. Bespoke Block instructions are on our website and include fun alternate layouts. Share your blocks on social media #pmqg2018BOM


Kimberly Bennefield (PMQG President) welcomed everyone to the showcase and introduced the folks are running for officer positions in 2019. Ballots for the 2019 officers and the two Bylaw amendments will be sent out on Friday, October, 26. We are still looking for a Volunteer Coordinator. Let us know if that is you by Wednesday so we can include it on the ballot!

 Our next PMQG guild meeting is November 15 and we are excited to welcome Anna Maria Horner , Creative Director of Conservatory, owner of Craft South, and artist extraordinaire. Her classes are currently sold out and waitlists are available for both of the Anna Maria Horner workshops and the upcoming Denyse Schmidt's workshops in December. A reminder that the location of these workshops has changed to the Kenton Historic Firehouse.


Sign up in advance for the November Show and Tell are online and will be available the night of the meeting. Sign-ups are now paperless and will be on our website and available the night of our meeting.


We were surprised and saddened to learn that our longtime business sponsor Fabric Depot has closed. We appreciated their role in our community and commitment to providing a classroom space and member shopping discounts over the last 9 years. They will be missed.

Open Sew Day in November is Happening!

Saturday, November 10 from 10 am - 5 pm at Mill End in Beaverton at 4955 S.W. Western Ave.

We are happy to announce that we have arranged for our Open Sew days in November and December to be at the Mill End Store in Beaverton. In November we will have a space that will hold 50 folks, December we will have a large room as well as the small space and will be able to accommodate 50 members!

We will see you at our next meeting on November 15!
